World of Education (Period 2)

This is a Teacher Training Magnet course. Students will experience tutoring in the subject of reading/writing at a local elementary school. We will travel to the school three times a week during 2nd period. Students are required to have a trip slip on file. There are also 3 mandatory field trips required during the school year (Downtown Central Library, Long Beach Aquarium, and the L.A. Zoo). Attendance is key to this class, along with weekly reflection journals. Community Service is also offered through this course.
