HBCU and Greek Week - Monday, February 28 - Friday, March 4, 2022

During this week HBCU representatives engage students in a discussion about their college choices and encourage them to explore Historically Black Colleges and Universities. This is aligned with our school’s emphasis on Every Cougar, College and Career ready. All students and staff are invited to come out and participate.

Black History Month Shoe Donation!!

Crenshaw High School is partnering with the non-profit, Bridge-to-Africa in their annual shoe drive, “Shoes that Touch the Soul” by donating gently used or new shoes to people in GHANA. Students can earn community service credit by donating.

Let's make it a competition!! Which class can donate the most shoes? Donations can be turned in to your Advisory teachers. Staff is encouraged to join in!

Celebrating Black History Month

All month long we will celebrate Black History Month with a variety of opportunities for both students and staff to participate. HBCU Wednesday; "Black History Trivia" Thursdays; and "Open Mike" Fridays.


Crenshaw High is starting a full dance program in collaboration with the Debbie Allen Dance Academy (DADA). Auditions will be held on Friday, March 4, 2022 @ 4:00pm in the Dance Room, M-111. Auditions are open to ALL grade levels. Boys should wear fitted sweats and shirts with dance shoes or socks. Girls should wear leotards, tights, or leggings; ballet shoes, or socks, and hair should be in a bun.

Black College Expo

There are a limited number of tickets for students to attend the Black College Expo: Saturday, February 19, 2022.

Financial Aid Parent Workshop --

Join us Friday, February 18th, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. for an important college financial aid parent workshop. We will discuss FAFSA, Loans, Grants, the Dream Act, and much more. Zoom Link or Meeting ID: 828 4057 6050.

Spring Saturday School

Students who need to recover credit in order to graduation can see their counselor to enroll in Saturday School.

Graduation Auditions

Students interested in performing for graduation can audition, Friday, February 11th during lunch.

Vaccinations now available for families!!
