Memoir
I remember all of the concerts we performed as well as recording the album Sow The Seeds Of Happines With Jimmy Jewels(Producer) and Phillip Baily singing Stevie Wonders Song dedicated to Martin Luther King Jr. (Happy Birthday) the soul version. I especially remember the concert at U.C. Santa Barbara As some of us were able to sneak in to a Toga Party after the concert. All of the plays and concerts at the malls and resthomes with our Crenshaw Elite Youth Choir. Also remember us having to protest against LAUSD superintendent Roberta Weintraub, as she wanted to take all extra-curricular activities out of LAUSD school districts, yeah thanks to the class of 1981 we still have sports, band, choir, drillteam, etc and we did this protest in the rain from city hall downtown L.A. to the school district. This was students from all LAUSD schools. It made a difference for us all. Just think about it, without these things in school and academics only would not have been provided a conducive environment for us all. Now thats a walk-out to remember. Big ups to all class 1981. WE ARE THE BEST. SOMO LOS MEJORES.
