Memoir I remember the first walk out we had, it was in 2000 when we first heard that the faculty was planning on changing the name to honor the late Mayor. We decided to walk out during lunch and to show that we loved the school no matter what everyone else taught or said about it. Mr Brown and the Superintendent Came down to settle us back in the school and chatted with us and came to a conclusion of not changing the name.
