PROFESSIONAL WRITING AND READING (Period 7)
Course Description
PROF WRIT & READING is a course designed to ensure that students receive additional support in the areas of reading and writing in order to meet the common core standards, and successfully pass English 11. This course is structured so that students can build stronger skills in English Language Arts. Students in this class will participate in the Achieve 3000 reading program, writing workshops, and lessons that pre-teach concepts of English 11. Additionally, students will have time to receive support from the teacher and the paraprofessional for homework/classwork assigned in their core English class.
