US History (Period 2) Assignments

SEE SUMMER ENRICHMENT ACTIVITIES LISTED FOR PERIOD 1

August 5, 2005

MANDATORY SUPPLIES FOR STUDENTS ENROLLED IN MY CLASSES FOR FALL 2005.

1. A three ring binder (NO TABLETS, PLEASE. A THREE RING BINDER REALLY IS NECESSARY) YOU MAY INCLUDE A SECTION FOR OTHER SUBJECTS IN YOUR BINDER. YOU DO NOT NEED A DIFFERENT BINDER FOR THIS CLASS UNLESS YOU CHOOSE TO HAVE ONE.
2. ten notebook dividers
3. four pens (blue or black ink ONLY)
4. TWO #2 PENCILS (needed for scantron tests and map worksheets)
5. at least 100 sheets of notebook paper
6. a pocket dictionary
PLEASE HAVE THESE ITEMS WITH YOU WHEN YOU COME TO CLASS.

TO PARENTS:
Homework is assigned EVERYDAY for my classes as follows:
1. Students must watch a MAJOR newscast each day (at least the first 25 minutes)
2. Students must review notes and worksheets daily.
The above are daily assignments. In addition to those assignments, students should:
1. Study for upcoming tests (there are no unannounced tests in my classes); students will always know when a test will be given.
2. work on assigned project as assigned.( Students should follow the schedule distributed.)
3.complete assigned worksheets to be submitted the next day.

PARENTS PLEASE ASK YOUR CHILD TO SHOW YOU WHAT HE/SHE HAS DONE FOR HOMEWORK EACH DAY. THANK YOU.
