Ksenia Yashina » Welcome!

Welcome students! My name is Ms. Ksenia Yashina (Ms. K), I am one of the resource teachers. The 2016-2017 school year will be my fourth year at the Shaw. This year, I co-teach Algebra I Geometry classes and run mathematics tutoring labs.
About me: I graduated from UC Berkeley (Go Bears!) in 2012 and received my Master's Degree and teaching credential from Loyola Marymount University in 2015. In addition to teaching, I coach Academic Decathlon and co-coach Students Run LA and ran the past 3 LA Marathons (2014-2016). I love traveling and have been to many U.S. states and cities, as well as countries around the world.
I am passionate about education and creating college-going culture, and I love counseling students on academics and college. You can find me in Room 229 - feel free to drop by any time!
