Don’t Text and Drive ScholarshipOpens: Now Due: 9/27/19 Available to: High School Freshmen through Graduate Students, Year 5 Award Amount: 4 Awards of $1,000 The Don't Text and Drive Scholarship is available to high school, undergraduate or graduate students. You must be U.S. citizen or legal resident and complete a short statement on why you pledge not to text and drive in order to qualify for this award. Jackie Robinson Foundation ScholarshipOpens: 11/1/19 Due: 1/27/20 Available to: Graduating seniors who plan to attend college. Award Amount: Up to $30,000 over 4 years. You may apply for the scholarship if you haven’t been accepted to a college yet. Karen Hanson Memorial Scholarship
Opens: Now Due: 11/30/19 Available to: College Freshmen through Graduate Students, Year 5 Award Amount: $350 The Karen Hanson Memorial Scholarship is open to students pursuing studies in literature. You must also submit an essay of at least 250 words in response to the following prompt: Life is full of challenges and struggles, and one of the great things literature can do is help us move through and past them with humor. In 250 words or more, describe how an education in Literature can help us move through life with greater joy.
